i agree entirely. umrao jaan is a deeply moving story and i don’t think ms.self-obsessed can do justice to it. i am so prejudiced that i won’t even see it! and lola kutty rocks.

But still, let them try these remakes. Once in a while, they may do a better job as well. It is certainly interesting to see real comparisons regardless of whoever wins.
